NEW JERSEY APOSTILLE

Certified copies of the New Jersey Birth Certificates may be obtained through the NJ Department of Health or Local Vital Records Office in the County where the birth was recorded. Apostille and embassy legalization requires that all NJ Birth certifies contain signature of the NJ State Registrar and a seal of the issuing office. 

 Certified copies of the New Jersey Death Certificates may be obtained through the NJ Department of Health or Local Vital Records Office in the County where the death was recorded. Apostille and embassy legalization requires that all NJ Death certifies contain signature of the NJ State Registrar and a seal of the issuing office.  

 Certified copies of the New Jersey Marriage Certificates may be obtained through the NJ Department of Health or Local Vital Records Office in the County where the marriage was recorded. Apostille and embassy legalization requires that all NJ Marriage certifies contain signature of the NJ State Registrar and a seal of the issuing office.  

 Certified copies of the New Jersey Divorce Certificates and Divorce Decrees may be obtained through the Court in the County where the Divorce was granted. Certified copies for apostille and embassy legalization processing must be sealed and signed by the Clerk's Office of the issuing court. Apostille will not be issued without proper certification. 

NJ Single Status Certificate is issued only by the New Jersey Department of Health after a through search is conducted of all marriage records in the State of New Jersey. Certified Single Status Certificate for apostille and embassy legalization processing will contain signature of the NJ State Registrar and a seal of the issuing office.   

NJ Single Status Affidavit is sworn self-declaration. Single Status Affidavit needs to be signed and notarized in order to be eligible for apostille or embassy legalization.
